Released in September 2017, the Oracle Maintenance Cloud replaces existing ‘on-premise’ maintenance solutions and has received widespread interest from both existing customers running Oracle’s existing EBS Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) module aswell as JD Edward’s Customers running the existing Plant and Maintenance module. It has also seen extensive interest from new customers interested in moving to a cloud based maintenance solution.
In addition to explaining the new functionality available in the Oracle Maintenance Cloud application, the presentation explained the importance of a cloud-based maintenance and asset management approach for Customers, demonstrating that the focus of the product enables them to maximise the use of their Assets through:
Release 13 of the Oracle Cloud platform became available in September 2017 and provides Customers with a solid foundation to allow them to define their detailed asset data, planning and work order processes as well as providing standard integration with Oracle’s Financial, Inventory and Purchasing cloud applications.
The new user interface offered in Maintenance Cloud is designed to be more intuitive, efficient, and consistent across multiple devices with a specific focus directed to mobile workers. The user interface is further optimized by allowing users to tailor their own landing pages allowing quick access to ‘actionable information’ in just a few clicks.
