At Claremont, we’re never happy to just stand still. Delivering the best for our clients means constant improvements and with that in mind, we’re delighted to welcome a new member to our team:
Peter Sammut comes to Claremont to take on the role of Consulting Team Lead for HCM in the Oracle Professional Services team, with a specific remit to help shape the future of our HCM practice. He brings with him a wealth of pertinent experience, including an eight-year stint at Oracle itself.
Peter was the first to implement Fusion in the UK. Working on Fusion / HCM Cloud when it came over to the UK in pre-release form and then on to a number of other pioneering large-scale projects, one of which was leading the Oracle Fusion Talent Management implementation for BT.
He gained further experience and expertise through his work supporting Oracle partners who were struggling with their Cloud implementations, including CSC, Deloitte and Accenture, and advising clients such as RBS as to whether Cloud was strategically right for them. His work at Oracle has been recognised with the individual Oracle Shining Star Award and team Best Project Award on several occasions.
Peter left Oracle in 2014 and immediately jumped into a major project with Debenhams, working with the Rewards Director to transform its reward business process. He designed a bespoke Reward and Benefits Cloud solution, then led a team in implementing the multi-country and plan Fusion Workforce Compensation solution.
In late 2016, KPMG approached him to help them build a new practice – their offering for Oracle HCM Cloud – and he took on the role of Senior Manager for Cloud-enabled HR Technology and Transformation.
Peter expands: “For me, the most important part of the role was helping our clients. I advised on HCM business transformation through technology and designed Oracle HCM Cloud solutions for those clients, as well as overseeing the resulting implementations.”
Peter’s focus on all things HCM and Cloud is self-evident but away from work, Peter is a keen runner with a number of half marathons and Tough Mudders under his belt. He’s also an avid skier and snowboarder when the demands of his young family let him get to the slopes.
Speaking of family, Peter explains what underpinned his decision to join Claremont:
“The thing that really inspires me is Claremont’s way of working in partnership with clients, as part of their team, not just a supplier. The people at Claremont are on the same wavelength as me, with similar experiences and a common mindset. I know we can do something special together.”
