It’s all about work/life balance

With massive support from employees and the wider network, Claremont has been voted and recognised for putting their employees first in the Perkbox Workplace Culture Awards.

Out of the many number of companies that were invited to take part, Claremont finished in the Top 10 of those in the UK.

Claremont has always taken great pride in providing its employees with an adaptable working environment, one that is flexible and compatible with people’s lives.

By incorporating such philosophies into the roots of the business, employees are more empowered and as a result feel more in control of their working life, which essentially leads to:

  • Increased productivity
  • Lower absenteeism
  • A happier, less stressed workforce
  • Improvements in employee health and well-being
  • A more positive perception of you as an employer
  • Greater employee loyalty, commitment and motivation

And it’s not just employees that are benefitting from being part of such an environment. As part of embracing such a culture, Claremont as an employer has been able to:

  • Measure increases in employee accountability and commitment
  • Provide better teamwork and communication
  • Improve morale
  • Increase engagement and commitment levels
  • Provide a working environment with less negative organisational stress
  • Reduce staff turnover and recruitment costs
  • Be recognised as a business that people want to work for

As part of this process, Claremont offers:

  • part-time working
  • flexi-time
  • working from home

In addition, the comprehensive benefits and rewards package we offer to our staff includes a private company pension scheme, a premium Private Health Insurance plan, annual bonuses and access to our exciting perks and discounts platform facilitated by Perkbox, amongst other things.

Over the past year, Claremont has paid close attention to the feedback from employees, often asking for their input. In recognition of this particular award, we would like to share comments received from an employee in the past year.

“Having worked for Claremont almost 9 years I’ve experienced many positive developments within the organisation’s people strategies, but the two with most impact for me have been the flexible working arrangements and support in my Personal Development. Whilst it has always been possible to have time off to attend school or social events, an addition in the recent years have been the increase in regular home working opportunities.

Aside from the time and cost saved missing the daily commute on work from home days, it’s the little but important things like being in to receive parcels or being there for the children coming home from school which has helped me achieve a positive work-life balance.

Personal development is another important focus point at Claremont and the support I’ve received in terms of study time and cost have helped me achieve a professional qualification in an area not directly essential to my role, but one of which I have a personal interest in.”
