At Claremont, we are often working with our various clients on site or working remotely, which means the team don’t always have as much chance to work together face to face. Every year we get the whole company together at a Company Away Day to share ideas, take part in some team building and social activities.
This year held at New Hall Hotel, a beautiful location just outside of Birmingham. The team look forward to the yearly event, which this year was attended by a number of new faces, as our numbers continue to grow.
The morning activities kicked off with opening talks from our CEO and Chairman, highlighting Claremont’s journey so far and our deeply established culture of delivery excellence for our clients. They also talked about the opportunities for personal development and that unlike others we walk the walk, not just talk the talk. Other activities included the annual Claremont Quiz, and the Leadership Team being put in the spotlight for the annual “Question Time” type forum.
A game of human Monopoly in the afternoon brought out some people’s competitive side, with a mixture of mental and physical challenges including wellie wanging, grass skiing and building the highest tower with Jenga pieces. A great time was had by all, even those who ended up landing on and being sent to jail! In the end it was Team Four, unexpected outsiders, who were crowned as champions.
The evening activities allowed for some down time with drinks, meal and then a few more drinks! The final official business was to announce Employee of the Year, which this year went to a new joiner Hannah (PMO Consultant) who has become an invaluable member of the team!
The event was a huge success again this year, enjoyed by all and it is the perfect opportunity to celebrate our achievements as a team. As a professional services organisation, it’s all about our people, and we’re proud of the dedicated and talented individuals that make up team Claremont. They are the ones who ensure that our ethos of delivery excellence is maintained.
